What is the required power supply for Smart Door Lock?

Smart Door Lock requires 10 pcs of AA batteries which is about 7.5V and it also has an emergency power supply of 5V that can be charging by power bank with USB type-C cable.

What are the supported guide plate sizes?

  • Standard: 24mm by 240mm
  • Other sizes:24mm by 260mm/280mm/300mm, 30mm by 240mm/260mm/280mm/300mm

    What are the supported type of door materials?

    The supported type are wooden, stainless steel, iron and bronze doors.

    What are the supported thicknesses of the door?

    The supported door thickness would be from 40 to 120mm.

    The standard door thickness is ranging from 50mm to 90mm. Any measurements that are not within the standard range would require special accessory package.

    What should I look out for during the installation of the Smart Door Lock?

    You have to look out for the direction of the door swing;

  • Stainless steel, iron or bronze door (Standard lock body with lock hook. Unified open direction): Right open
  • Wooden door: Need to confirm the open direction to match the corresponding door gusset plate

    Why Aztech Kyla app shows the door is still open while it is closed?

    Please ensure the installed gusset plate and the Smart Door Lock is matched.

    Why I cannot connect to the Smart Door Lock from Aztech Kyla app?

    Please ensure the Smart ZigBee Bub, router and Smart Door Lock are connected on the same network.

    Can I use the smart functions of the Smart Door Lock without installing a Smart ZigBee Hub?

    No, the smart functions of the Smart Door Lock will be unavailable without the Smart ZigBee Hub.

    Are there any security risks if the Smart Door Lock is disconnected from the Smart ZigBee Hub?

    No, there are no security risks as the Smart Door Lock will still work without smart functions.

    What should I do when the Smart Door Lock runs out of power?

    You can use a power bank and USB type-C cable to charge through the power port or use the spare key to unlock.

    How to use the mechanical key to unlock?

    You can simply insert and turn the key then push down the handle to unlock.

    Can I open the Smart Door Lock via Aztech Kyla remotely?

    No, you cannot open the door using the Aztech Kyla.

    many users can I register to the Smart Door Lock?

    You can register up to twenty-five (25) users and each user is allowed to register three (3) fingerprints and one password for entry. Users can also register one emergency fingerprint and one emergency password

    What does the colors on the LED light represents?

    The status of the LED light represents:

  • Flash blue light: Waiting for configuration
  • Flash green light: Searching for ZigBee devices
  • Solid blue light: Starting the device
  • Flash red light: Alarm

    What is the maximum distance between the Smart Door Lock and Smart ZigBee Hub?

    The maximum distance between the Smart Door Lock to Smart ZigBee Hub is up to ten (10) meters.

    What are the security features of the Smart Door Lock?

  • Verification failure: The Smart Door Lock will be disabled for two (2) minutes after ten (10) attempts and the notification will be sent to family members via Aztech Kyla app
  • Unlock by key: The Smart Door Lock’ alarm will sound off and the notification will be sent to family members via Aztech Kyla app if the door is unlocked by the key when there is power.
  • Unlock by force: The Smart Door Lock’s alarm will sound off and the notification will be sent to family members via Aztech Kyla app if the door is opened by force.
  • Emergency Unlock: Notification will be sent to family members via the Aztech Kyla app if the door is opened by the registered emergency fingerprint or password.
  • Secure Mode: Under the secure mode, the Smart Door Lock’s alarm will sound off and the notification will be sent to family members via Aztech Kyla app if it is unlocked by other ways except fingerprint or password.
  • Low Power: The low battery indicator will turn on when unlocking with low power, and the notification will be sent to family members via Aztech Kyla app. (Please replace the battery within 10 days)
